2.3 billion people don’t have a decent toilet. Diarrhea caused by dirty water and poor toilets kills a child under 5 every 2 minutes.

Your $40 provides one family with the materials to build a dual bucket compost toilet system with comfortable toilet seats. Human waste (humanure) can be safely composted and used to replace soils that have been lost due to erosion from deforestation. Human urine makes an excellent fertilizer when mixed 1 part urine to 10 parts water. We provide training for each family so they are able to produce more composting toilet systems for other local families for a small profit. This provides a sustainable source of income for many of the families we are helping.
